Languages
Pick a language per server. Aegis replies in it, and the dashboard and these docs follow the same choice.
Available Languages

| ๐บ๐ธ English | en (the default) |

Japanese currently covers what Aegis says in Discord. The dashboard is still in English for it, and fills in over time. Anything not yet translated in any language falls back to English rather than showing a blank.
Setting the Language
The language is stored per server, so every server Aegis is in can use a different one. There are two places to change it, and both write the same setting
- In the dashboard, use the Server Language card on the Homepage. Pick a language and hit Save.
- In Discord, run
/server-setupand use the language dropdown on the main menu.
Changing it in one place changes it in the other immediately. Language changes are recorded in the dashboard's Settings Audit Log.
What Changes
- Aegis's replies in your server: command responses, embeds, buttons, menus and error messages.
- The dashboard: navigation, settings pages and labels.
- These docs: page content follows the same choice.
Slash Command Descriptions
Command descriptions (the grey text Discord shows while you type /) work differently. Discord picks those from each viewer's own client language, not the server setting, so two people in the same server can see the picker in different languages. Aegis supplies translated descriptions for every language above and Discord handles the rest.
Command names stay in English on purpose. People type those, and translating them would break guides, macros and muscle memory.
Untranslated Text
Anything without a translation yet falls back to English rather than showing a blank or a placeholder. Coverage is broadest on the parts you see most: command replies, menus, buttons and the dashboard. It is thinner on long-form content like some documentation prose.
Messages you write (welcome messages, level-up announcements, ticket panel text, custom commands) are never translated. They're your wording, so they're used exactly as entered. The stock defaults do follow the server language, until you customize them.
