Polls
Button-based polls with single- or multi-choice voting, live or hidden results, and a fixed auto-close timer โ created from the dashboard.
Polls are currently created from the dashboard's "Create a Poll" panel, not a slash command. The only Discord-side surface is a message context-menu action โ right-click a message โ Apps โ Close Poll โ which ends an open poll early.
Creating a Poll
| Field | Range / options |
|---|---|
| Question | up to 500 characters |
| Options | 2 to 10 |
| Channel | any text channel |
| Duration | 1h, 2h, 4h, 6h, 12h, 1d (default), 2dโ7d โ a fixed timer, no open-ended mode |
| Voting | Single choice (changeable) or Multiple choice |
| Results | Show live, or hidden until the poll closes |
| Voter names | Hidden/anonymous (default), or visible |
Voting
Each option is its own numbered button (1๏ธโฃโ๐), not a reaction. In single-choice mode, clicking a different option replaces your vote, and re-clicking your current choice removes it. In multiple-choice mode, each option toggles independently.
Live results render as text progress bars with percentage and vote count. If voter names are visible, a Show all voters button gives a full per-option breakdown.
Closing
Polls close automatically when their timer runs out (re-armed correctly even across a bot restart), or early via the Close Poll context-menu action โ usable by the poll's creator or anyone with Manage Server. On close, the embed appends the winning option, or a tie note if multiple options are tied.
Used by QOTD
Multiple-choice Question of the Day questions are posted using this exact same poll engine under the hood โ they just don't show up in the dashboard's regular Active Polls list.
