Welcome & Leave
Four independent messages — join, leave, a welcome DM, and a boost announcement — each with its own channel, toggle, and pool of random message variants.
Overview
Four events, each fully independent — any combination can be on or off at once:

Message Placeholders
Available in all four message types (channel, leave, DM, boost) unless noted: {user} (mention), {username} (no ping), {server}. {membercount} is available for the join/leave channel messages only.
Per-Event Settings
Each event gets its own: channel, enable toggle, embed, plain text, or Image Card mode, and a message pool — up to 50 message variants, one picked at random each time (falls back to a single legacy message field if the pool is empty). Embed mode adds an optional title/footer and the joining/leaving/boosting member's avatar as a thumbnail (not applied to the DM, which can't show a thumbnail the same way).
Join, Leave, and Boost each have their own independent ping toggle — when on, Aegis prepends a real @mention to the message content (works even in embed mode, since an embed itself can't carry a ping).
Image Card Mode
A third mode alongside embed and plain text, available independently for all four events. Instead of a text message, Aegis generates an image card with the member's avatar and message text laid over a background, the same way a rank card works.
Backgrounds support animated GIFs and share the same upload pipeline as rank cards — upload a file, paste almost any direct image or GIF link, or send one from Discord's GIF picker. Colors and layout are configurable per event from the dashboard.
Leave a card's background uncustomized and it gets the same bundled animated circuit-trace background rank cards fall back to, instead of a bare card.
Default Colors
Join/Leave default to gold (#d4a017); Boost defaults to Discord's boost pink (#f47fff). These apply to embed mode and Image Card backgrounds.
